Citypress expands London operation

Citypress is to expand its presence in London, taking new premises and increasing headcount by four.

The Manchester-headquartered agency has taken space in The Grid Iron Building at One Pancras Square, part of the King’s Cross regeneration area which also houses Google and Facebook.

The new operation, which will launch on June 16, will be overseen by director Tom Kirkham, who joined from Blue Rubicon last year.

Also joining are account director Bethan Davies, who moves from Rain Communications, account manager Victoria Holden, who is relocating from the Manchester office, and two other account executives.

Citypress, which has recently won new accounts with the Post Office and Coca Cola Enterprises, has had an office in London since 2006, latterly at a site in Chelsea Harbour. That was essentially a hot-desking arrangement, however, and this will be the first time the agency has had a full-time workforce based in the capital.

Kirkham said: “Bolstering our presence in London is about getting closer to the brands and businesses we represent, while placing a signpost for our UK network in the heart of the capital as we target further growth.

“Having a bigger and more central hub in London also enables us to tap into the talent market in London, as well as offering opportunities for our consultants across the UK to spend time developing their career here.”
