Monday Moves: Marketing Manchester, Stickyeyes and many more

Significant job news from Lancaster this week, with the news that Fat Media is planning to increase rapidly over the next year following its acquisition by entrepreneur David Durnford.

The new agency – which merged with Motive Technology as part of the deal – is looking to add a further 30 jobs over the next 12 months.

Appointments-wise, Living Edge magazine has a new editor, Jaywing appointed the former head of public services networks at The Guardian and Leeds-based True North has a new executive producer for documentaries. The sports editor of the BBC has also moved on.

In agency land, gyro Manchester added three new staff and mmadigital appointed a new client lead.

On the jobs board this week, Marketing Manchester has a grand total of six new roles available.

Ahead of the launch of a “Global Ambassador” programme, it’s looking for a Programme Facilitator who can promote the city as a place to live, work and trade. Experience of partnership working would be an advantage.

It’s also bulking up the marketing team, and has vacancies for a Marketing Executive and Marketing Assistant. You’ll need a “flexible approach to working hours and location”.

Two jobs are up for grabs in the comms team – Communications Executive and Communications Assistant – while there’s also a Digital Marketing Assistant vacancy. All jobs have a closing date for applications of this Friday.

Stickyeyes in Leeds is still looking for a raft of new roles itself, including Content Marketing ManagerSEO LeadSenior PPC Manager and Senior PR Account Manager.

And if you are in PR, there’s an opportunity for a PR Senior Consultant (Consumer) with a Manchester agency that specialises in consumer, fashion and celebrity accounts.

Up to £38k is available for the successful candidate who goes for the PR Senior Account Manager/Junior Account Director position with another Manchester agency. Corporate PR experience and media contacts are a must.

Still in corporate PR, there’s a Corporate PR Account Executive role going with an “international consultancy” in Manchester.

Over in Leeds, a city centre comms agency is recruiting an Agency Marketing Manager to look after its brand and “help them shout about what they do best”. Ideally you’ll have worked on both agency and client side.

One of the city’s “most sought after digital agencies” is after a Digital Account Manager who can lead and support on some “impressive” accounts. It’ll help if you have a commercially savvy approach and confidence in your ideas.

An event management company is looking for an Assistant Production Manager to deliver the technicalities of conferences, award ceremonies, workshops, roadshows and the like. You’ll need to be prepared to travel across the UK.

Passionate about business development? Then a marketing agency in East Lancashire could be just for you. It needs a Business Development Manager with “significant experience” of a similar role.

A couple of other jobs to finish this week. A recruitment consultancy with offices in Leeds and Manchester needs a Recruitment Consultant – Marketing, while an “an award winning digital performance agency” in Manchester needs an Account Manager – Affiliate.
