There will be a new Breakfast Show on Radio Aire in Leeds from Monday, as current host, Rich Williams leaves “to pursue new ventures.”
He’ll be replaced by Kam Kelly, who’s presented Home Run on the station for the last 6 months.
“Radio Aire will always have a special place in my heart. It’s where I started my career on the street team twelve years ago and have had the privilege of waking up my home city for the last three and picked up an Arqiva Commercial Radio Award,” said Williams.
“I’ve made the decision that it’s time for me to move on to explore new avenues and start a new adventure in my career. I wish all at Radio Aire well in the future.”
Kam Kelly at Breakfast starts on Monday at 6am and he’ll be joined on the show by Katie Radley, an experienced newsreader who returns to Leeds from Capital FM in London.
“This is a really exciting time for Radio Aire and for Leeds. Kam is a talented and experienced broadcaster and I can’t wait to hear him waking up Leeds every morning from Monday,” added Radio Aire’s content controller Alex Vladev.
