Liverpool branding agency USP Creative has appointed Paul Symes as its new head of digital.
Symes joins from Connect Group in Wolverhampton, where he was head of development. Prior to that he held a number of developer roles and worked on projects for brands including the BBC and Pearson.
He said: “Although we’ve seen a lot of rapid change and advancement over the past few years, digital marketing is still really in its infancy and so it’s brilliant to be here with a clean sheet of paper looking ahead to what’s possible rather than be encumbered with the legacy code of the past.”
Managing director Alexandra Rose added: “We are really excited about Paul’s appointment. We have been quietly growing the digital aspect of our offering but with Paul’s help we can offer clients a much more strategic and dynamic offering.”
The agency has recently won digital branding projects for online marketing specialists HitSearch and Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, as well as completing a new site for Alder Hey Hospital.
It’s also added a number of new faces to its accounts team, including Danielle Hodgson, Meg Binns, Kirsten Roberts and Rebecca Harwood.
