Retail group Nisa has appointed Etienne Botha as head of digital with the task of driving online strategy and increasing focus on social media marketing.
Botha was previously global digital channel manager at Premier Farnell, and has also held roles at Yorkshire-based Ventrolla and The Web Marketing Group.
The marketing team at the Scunthorpe-headquartered retailer has also be bolstered by the appointment of Emma Hodgkinson as consumer insight executive, while Rachel Dawson and Laura Ashbridge join as brand managers for the Nisa and Loco brands.
The PR team also expands with Lucy Greensmith joining as PR and communications executive.
The new team will develop retail campaigns for the group’s 1,134 members across the UK.
Marketing director Ian Bishop said: “These key appointments are part of a strategic investment plan that will see Nisa grow the number of retailers it supports by 20 per cent.”
Nisa operates over 4,000 stores trading under their own fascia or with the Nisa and Loco symbol brands. It reported bumper Christmas trading, up 15.3% in value terms and 16.4% in volume for the four trading weeks of December.
