A further three journalists have left the Yorkshire Post after opting to take up an offer of voluntary redundancy from Johnston Press.
The latest departures include arts editor Nick Ahad, photographer Andy Manning and journalist Paul Woodhouse, who all left on Friday.
Ahad’s final piece was published on Friday. He will continue to have some connection with the paper as a freelance theatre correspondent as well as presenting shows on BBC Radio Leeds. He will also be joining Emmerdale as a scriptwriter.
The three departing members of staff were presented with a bench and personalised front pages in a moment recorded by Post managing editor Nicola Furbisher on her Twitter page.
Last August, it was confirmed that Post chief sub-editor Bob Holmes, news editor Phil Booth, deputy news editor Paul Whitehouse and investigations editor Rob Waugh had also applied for the redundancy scheme.
