IntegratedThe Prolific North Top 50 Integrated Agencies 2013 will be published next week. The ranking will detail for the first time the North’s leading integrated agencies spanning a wide range of advertising, marketing and creative consultancies.

The Top 50 Integrated Agencies initiative follows on from the publication of the ground-breaking Prolific North Top 50 PR Agencies ranking in June this year.

That compilation, supported by theEword and Barclays Bank and delivered in association with Mustard Research, has subsequently gained widespread acknowledgment as the most credible and comprehensive listing of leading Northern PR agencies published in recent years.

The Prolific North Top 50 Integrated Agencies 2013 initiative has once again been produced with the support of Mustard Research and Barclays Bank will once again host the follow-up event planned for next spring. We are also pleased that Better Placed Recruitment has elected to sponsor this debut feature.

BetterPlacedAgencyDean Bartle, a director of Better Placed Recruitment, said: “The agency recruitment team at Better Placed is passionate about this sector having recruited within this market for the last 10 years from our offices in Leeds and Manchester.

“So when this opportunity arose to sponsor the Prolific North Top 50 Integrated Agencies initiative, we were pleased to be able to support the further development of Northern creative and agency talent and we’d like to wish all participants the best of luck.”

Who will be the Top Integrated Agencies in the North?

As with the PR rankings, the list is predicated on financials – balance sheets or shareholder funds, turnover, growth and headcount.

Agencies which are either entirely or overwhelmingly digital have not been included and will be ranked in a separate forthcoming report.

Unlike other rankings, this compilation is purely focused on Northern agencies or operations based in the North and entrants have not had to pay to be included.

Having compiled their original list, the research team at Mustard then whittled the list down to around 100 agencies before final research produced the list of 50 Agencies that will appear next week.

Just under half of the agencies revealed file full accounts (turnover £6.5m plus) with the other agencies submitting signed-off copies of their accounts or amending or approving the raw financial data we sent to each agency.

We are confident that the Prolific North Top 50 Integrated Agencies ranking will, in the same vein as the Prolific North Top 50 PR Agencies ranking, quickly establish itself as the definitive compilation of advertising, marketing and creative agencies in the North.

Prolific North would like to thank all the agencies concerned, whether ultimately ranked or not, for their time and effort in helping us to compile this ground-breaking research.
