The Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub has set up its first in-house marketing operation, with the appointment of 4 members of staff.

The team will be led by marketing manager, Julie Woodward, who’s worked in both the public and private sector, including Manchester City Council, Marketing Manchester and Marriott International.

“We are focussing extensively on our online and digital activity, as well as co-ordinating our media partners, PR, social media and events programmes to ensure maximum impact and presence for the Hub going forward,” she explained.

Her department will work across marketing, events and online, to promote the products offered by the Business Growth Hub – including access to digital technology, business mentors, finance and start-up advice.

Other appointments include Andrea Wolfendale, who’s spent 10 years as events manager with Insider Media. She’ll be assisted by event co-ordinator, Ben Jones.

Alex Herod returns to the Hub as marketing and communications executive.

The new roles are part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Regional Growth Fund.
