A new campaign to help United Utilities’ customers understand what their water bill pays for has been devised and delivered by Fresh, Judge & Howard, MediaCom and N20.

The first phase of the campaign begins this month with a roadshow touring the region.

“Water is one of those things that people just take for granted, but with this campaign we want to explain to our customers exactly where their money goes,” said Rose Francis, campaign manager at Warrington-based United Utilities.

“Water might fall from the sky for free, but it’s cleaning and delivering it to homes – and taking away used water – that we have to charge for, as well as investing in the network and protecting the environment.

The agencies were all appointed to United Utilities’ communications’ roster in May.
