The Newcastle-based agency was appointed to create a “fresh, clean and spacious” website, which needed to be easy to navigate.
“We needed a solution that would provide specific information in a personalised way to a number of different audiences, this website provides exactly that. The result is a vastly improved experience for both external and internal users which include employees, residents, visitors and councillors,” said deputy leader of Sunderland City Council, Councillor Henry Trueman.
Guerilla also optimised the website for mobile devices and tablets as well as integrating social channels.
“It’s great to see the new site go live and it will be important to monitor how well the improved design meets the needs of those who visit and use the site often. It’s been great to get under the skin of Sunderland City Council’s website and we hope our remodelling of it will ensure the website becomes, and remains, a valued resource to all stakeholders,” added Leanne Johnson, digital director at Guerilla.
