Creative content agency, Maker Projects, has appointed industry heavyweight Joe Bachle-Morris as a non executive director.
Maker is optimistic that his appointment to the board will not only provide some additional managerial experience and guidance but will also open many more doors amongst the London agency community for Maker’s ‘creative content programming’.
Bachle-Morris has extensive creative industry experience having held several senior management positions, including heading up creative agency Brothers and Sisters, head of marketing at Sky Sports and as managing partner at VCCP, Marketing Magazine’s agency of the year 2011 and 2012.
Nick Marchant, founder of Maker Projects said: “Maker Projects is in a new stage of growth and we were looking for a new perspective on our business.
“Joe was introduced to Thea and myself by a mutual friend and we have been enthused by his understanding of our business and the opportunities he sees out there for us. We look forward to growing with Joe and working on some exceptional projects along the way.”
Maker Projects was established in 2003.
Maker specialises in creating content for lifestyle, outdoor and youth culture brands and client work includes film campaigns for Adidas, Carhartt, Revolution Bars, Finisterre and Dare2b.
However, the company is now also exploring a move into TV commercials as “the gap in quality between TV and the web is closing so fast we thought we’d look seriously at our options in the market” suggested Marchant.
He added that a large proportion of Maker’s output was now derived from either clients or agencies in the South East but that the company didn’t have the resources to open a fullly-serviced and staffed operation in London, hence the appointment of Bachle-Morris.
“It works both ways said Marchant: “This new appointment will introduce the agency’s talent to London clients and agencies while Joe is well placed to ensure Maker can gain more of the most interesting opportunities presented by the capital.”
