Team Rock, the new company led by former GMG Radio executives John Myers and Billy Anderson, has announced its first senior management team.
Its new head of radio is Hugh Evans, the former controller at Rock Radio in Manchester and Salford’s Real Radio XS. Evans will be responsible for TeamRock Radio, which will start testing on national DAB later this month.
Two of the team – finance director Stuart Kilby and HR director Jill Johnston – are joining from GMG Radio, now known as Real and Smooth Ltd.
Alan Clarke, former managing partner of ad agency The Bridge Advertising in Glasgow, joins as operations director, while Ciarán O’Toole, a freelance brand and digital media consultant, joins as digital and innovation director.
Cameron Pirie, director of Team Card and Sports Alliance, has been appointed insight director and Stephen McCreath joins as head of TV from his role as managing partner of media consultancy Black Sheep. McCreath only recently joined High Street TV in Harrogate.
Chris Ingham, currently group publisher of newly acquired magazines including Classic Rock and Metal Hammer, is promoted to managing director of content and publishing with a focus on international growth.
Billy Anderson, CEO, said: “This is a content business driven by brilliant people on every platform. I am thrilled we have attracted this level of talent so quickly and they have bought into the vision we believe in.”
Anderson added that the company had received 500 applications for the roles.
