The series will see Mister Maker travel around the world, from Sydney and Hong Kong to Cape Town and Rio.

The spin-off has been ordered by CBeebies controller Kay Benbow, is series produced by Driana Jones, directed by Peter Eyre and executive produced by The Foundation’s Vanessa Hill and CBeebies’ Michael Towner.

Benbow said: “Sending Mister Maker around the world is a brilliant opportunity to harness his extraordinary global popularity and take children at home on a journey, introducing them to different cultures and opening our young viewers eyes to the world around them.”

Hill added: “Mister Maker loves to find arty inspiration from all over the place, so he’s going to visit mini makers all around the world, finding new ideas for great makes and inspiring kids everywhere to give it a go and make it themselves.”
