Business affairs and commercial consultancy firm, Rights.tv is opening an office at MediaCityUK in Salford.
Part of the Compact Media Group, its new northern base will be headed by Jane Hyndman, the former head of legal affairs at etv and Disney/Sony joint venture, Europe Movieco Partners.
“MediaCity is one of the most exciting places to be in the country at the moment. I’m really pleased to be setting up in such a dynamic media hub, so that we will be able to work easily with all the smaller – as well as larger – content creators who need speedy and accurate advice on how best to exploit their creativity; whether it’s securing new media rights, developing apps or licensing and production contracts. Jane has an incredible range of experience and I’m really pleased that she is now part of our expanding team of expert advisors,” stated Andrew Baker, managing director of Rights.tv.
It already works alongside North West companies including Factory Transmedia, Studio Distract, Mackinnon and Saunders and Nine Lives Media. It also represented the Yorkshire Content Fund on its investment into Peaky Blinders (BBC/Tiger).
The new office will be in the Greenhouse.
